The experience of deep caring compassion is a state of consciousness that broadens into a level of understanding in which we recognize that the assailant and the target are both victims of the destructive power of hate, fear, judgement and blame. Through the development of mutual understanding and compassion, both the victim and assailant can experience healing and wholeness.
